Abstract: |
<summary>An assessment to identify areas of potential archaeological significance which might be earmarked for future development within Tavistock was undertaken. The aim of the exercise was to provide guidance on areas which might be worthy of conservation, evaluation, detailed recording, and public interpretation. The main recommendations made were that archaeological deposits within the abbey precinct should be preserved, and that the remaining abbey buildings, and the canal and associated buildings near Abbey Wharf, should undergo some form of conservation. Areas which might need to be recorded or evaluated in the future were also highlighted. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
