Abstract: |
<summary>Desk-based assessment was undertaken on a fourth area for the proposed second runway at Manchester Airport. Within this study, recommendations were made for the preferred option of three sub-options within Area 4. The study concludes that any ground disturbance may uncover prehistoric activity. In addition, at Tatton Park, which is just affected by Area 4, a longhouse was excavated at the deserted medieval village site. Area 10-28 is the preferred sub-option as all archaeological remains, except one earthwork, are probably post-medieval in date. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
