Abstract:
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of possible changes to the site. The report assessed the archaeological potential of the site and outlined the development of gardens to the north of Froebel College, within the campus. Probable archaeological deposits and features consisted, in summary, of prehistoric features, possibly Bronze or Iron Age, and features relating to historic gardens from the 17th to 19th centuries. The report concluded that further investigation (field evaluation) might be necessary to determine the exact nature, extent and depth of such deposits. [Au(abr)]
