Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during renovation and the fitting of an underfloor heating system at a medieval church. Four possible construction phases of the church were identified. Victorian floor tiles and several brick vaults, which were probably post-medieval in date, were recorded; some of the vaults contained lead coffins. During external drain replacement, fragments of human bone were observed. [AIP] |
