Abstract: |
Construction of the pipeline resulted in minimal disturbance to archaeological deposits, except for a cobbled surface in Kiddicott, which, in view of the historical evidence, was probably of 18th-19th century date. Possible boundary features were observed on the surface at one point but there was no evidence for their continuation below the road; they may have been truncated but there was little scope for examination of the trench sides.
