Abstract: |
An assessment carried out as a result of a flood alleviation scheme revealed an archaeologically rich landscape that has been exploited since early prehistoric times. Areas within the development area possessed great archaeological potential, however the impact of the proposed scheme was dependent upon the depth and extent of groundworks. Mitigation could not be decided upon until the nature of the work to be carried out was known. [Au(abr)] |
