Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out at a development site, 16 metres to the south of a motte and bailey castle. No evidence of archaeological features was found, although a layer of buried topsoil containing 17th-20th century pottery was revealed. The pottery was thought to have most probably been associated with Skellow Hall, which lay to the north. [AIP] |
