Abstract: |
Assessment of proposed development in the garden to the rear of Anne of Cleve's House identified two sites of archaeological interest within the proposed development area. These comprised Anne of Cleve's House itself, a house of 14th century date with 16th or 17th century and 18th or early 19th century alterations and additions, and ancient foundations found during work on the boundary wall of the adjacent cemetery of St Mary's Church.
