The watching brief consisted of monitoring the post holes for a perimeter fence. Each hole consisted of 0.8m deep diameter. A deep layer of dark soil interpreted as an occupation soil was recorded on the north-west side of the village which had not been sampled by the earlier excavation. [Au(adp)]
