Abstract: |
Excavation following evaluation prior to construction of a supermarket revealed Roman and earlier deposits. At least two phases of Roman activity were identified, with probable field boundaries from the late 2nd and 3rd centuries and linear features from the early 2nd century. Flints recovered suggest prehistoric activity in the area.[AIP] |
