Abstract: |
The study confirmed that there was a high potential for the discovery of Iron Age and Roman archaeology. Alluvial deposits were thought to seal archaeological remains, and the historic marshy nature of the area would have generated high levels of preservation. The land was not thought to have been used for anything other than rough pasture in later periods. [Au(adp)] |
