Abstract: |
A watching brief during the excavation of geotechnical pits along a road development revealed natural deposits dipping towards the River Welland and to the east, where an extent of marine alluvium was apparent. An ice wedge and possible extinct stream channel were also identified. One side of a ditch, probably an old field boundary and possible road make-up layers alongside North Field Road were observed.
