Abstract: |
The watching brief demonstrated that some of the area, around the South Front/Kingsway junction had been subject to brickearth digging in the 19th century. The presence of clean weathered brickearth below the western edge of Kingsway, together with the discovery of the daub and medieval human remains, suggested that significant archaeology still survived beneath the roadway and probably into Hoglands Park.[Au(abr)] |
