Abstract: |
Magnetic susceptibility reconnaissance survey that revealed low levels of soil susceptibility was followed by target detained magnetometry carried out on land toward the northern side of Skegness. Almost all of the target magnetometry areas revealed characteristic patterns associated with the former salt marsh, creeks etc. and a few anomalies could be confidently characterised and interpreted. A number of linear anomalies with a possible anthropogenic origin were located and may have represented former cut features such as ditch although it was not possible to infer a period of use.
