Abstract: |
A desk top study of a proposed development site was undertaken. A possible Iron Age hillfort lay nearby, and Roman coins had been found in the area. Medieval features and a possible manor house had been excavated within Wednesbury, and evidence for late medieval and post-medieval industry, including pottery manufacture, had been recorded. Three 16th century pottery wasters were found at the site itself in 1913. An evaluation was proposed. [AIP] |
