Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was commissioned with the main aim of mapping continuations east and west of the precinct boundary located in 2001, together with any associated medieval features. A number of significant archaeological targets were located. These included sections of a possible precinct wall west of the gatehouse, and along the western boundary of the field that extended south of the Abbey cottages. A set of curvilinear ditches, or terraces, and possible building debris, were also located. [Au(adp)] |
