Evaluation in advance of development revealed well preserved prehistoric fluvial deposits (Tilbury IV) and post medieval features consistent with domestic occupation and tanning, including several barrel lined liming pits. Finds included ceramic building material, two leather shoes and 17th-18th century pottery sherds.[AIP] |
