Abstract: |
The overall construction materials and methods observed in the weir suggests a probable construction date of the mid to late 18th century with numerous 19th and 20th century repairs. The character of the Northenden Weir appears to be one of continuous maintenance and repair with areas exposed to faster flowing water suffering the most damage. [Au(abr)] |
