Abstract: |
An archaeological desk based assessment and fieldwalking programme was undertaken on land with known prehistoric and Roman activity within the direct vicinity. The fieldwalking produced three finds, a sherd of post-medieval pottery, clay pipe and building fabric from the First World War. No particularly significant above ground sites were found although the potential for good below ground preservation and environmental remains were noted and the need for a watching brief during development was recommended.
