Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed evidence of prehistoric activity in the form of a series of pits, multiple field ditches and an isolated post hole and pit. Pottery from the pits in the south-western corner of the site and from the post hole were dated to between the late Bronze Age and middle Iron Age suggesting the site was on the edge of a prehistoric settlement and agricultural land associated with arable farming.
