Abstract: |
New steps were constructed from Salisbury Field onto Salisbury Walk. These cut through part of the defensive Roman rampart along the east side of the Roman town. The bank appeared to be constructed from layers of chalk rubble, gravel and grey silty soil. No dating evidence was recovered. [Au(abr)] |
