Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on further work at Aske Hall. The work involved the excavation of foundations to a maximum depth of approximately 45cm. Various drains and a stone lined culvert were uncovered. This culvert is unlikely to be contemporary with the one encountered in 1993. The stones of the more recent culvert are much smaller, less regular and of lower quality. Observations confirmed what is already known of the area in question. [Au(abr)] |
