Abstract: |
A desk-based study of land proposed for gravel extraction in the western area of Collingham parish, adjacent to the River Trent, identified that although the only evidence of archaeological remains within the proposal area was a find of a red deer antler pick and Roman loom weight. Cropmark and other chance finds indicated a strong possibility of further Roman remains exisiting within the proposed development area. [Auth adap] |
