Abstract: |
An inhumation was found during groundworks at the site and it was decided that the in situ remains should be removed under archaeological control. The burial was west-east aligned, suggesting it to be Christian, so not buried prior to the 4th century. However, a nearby site contained a number of 1st and 2nd century burials. It was therefore concluded that the burial was part of a Roman cemetery. [Au(adp)] |
