Abstract: |
<summary>In the Roman period, after initial levelling, at least one building was constructed. Three phases of floor construction were recorded, suggesting a long period of use, culminating in a monochrome tessellated pavement. The buildings were later destroyed by fire and the site reverted to open ground. Medieval activity, in the shape of pits dating from at least 1150 AD, was next recorded; these pits were, in turn, truncated by post-medieval structures. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
