Abstract:		 An archaeological survey of the Black Tower was undertaken by the Norfolk Archaeological Unit. The extent of the survey was determined by the scaffolding which was erected to facilitate the repair and consolidation of the inside of the structure. Thus the survey comprised a ground floor plan, three plans at higher levels (although these did not relate directly to floor levels) plus a section and written description. Survey drawings were supplemented by photographs. [Au]
