Abstract: |
<summary>Well-preserved remains of Roman date were found in two evaluation trenches, sealed beneath 1.75m of medieval and later cultivated soil. Three inhumations of the 4th century cut a thick deposit of 3rd century rubbish containing large quantities of pottery, animal bone, building material and glass; this overlay a deposit of burnt material, possibly representing a timber building burnt {italon}in situ{italoff}. {italon}Sec(abr)(23b){italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 1992.11 (YAT investigation identification no) |
