Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken because the site lay within an area of known archaeology dating from the Romano-British and medieval periods. The site also lay within the boundaries of the deserted medieval village of Laythorpe. The investigation revealed a single undated pit and a subsoil containing fragmentary animal bone. [Au] |
