Abstract: |
This work followed on from an archaeological desk based assessment which included the plotting of aerial photographic evidence. The Gloucestershire SMR had suggested that medieval earthworks could be located within the srudy area however a previous desk-based assessment suggested that these features were of natural origin or were post-medieval in date. The evaluation revealed no evidence of any earthworks plotted from the aerial photographs in the study area. However one previously undetected short low bank was noted. It may have functioned as a footpath at one time. No further features or archaeological deposits were encountered during the evaluation. [Au (adp)] |
