Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavations for Phase 3 of a flood alleviation scheme. The contractor's trial pits exposed sequences of predominantly modern levelling and/or garden deposits in Ripon and primarily agricultural deposits around Birkby Nab, all overlying glacial river deposits.
