Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the construction of a section of a footpath on the outer side of the moat at Kendal Castle, a SAM. The area had potential for the existence of masonry associated with an outwork or barbican. However, no significant archaeological deposits were observed, possibly due to the shallow depth of the disturbance, which did not exceed 150mm. [Au(adp)] |
