Abstract: |
The watching brief identified a number of features associated with the occupation of the site from the 16th century onwards, represented by abraded glazed earthen ware. The extensive restoration undertaken on the castle and grounds in the 18th century was supported by the date for the construction of the Gothic style curtain wall. [Au] |
