Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief took place on groundworks for a residential development. Foundation trenching exposed several linear features including a possible boundary ditch and a large pit. Pottery sherds and animal bone were recovered from an overlying soil horizon and from several of the features. The watching brief concluded, in contrast with earlier fieldwork, that Roman occupation recorded immediately north-east of the site appeared to continue into the present development area. [Au(abr)] |
