Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at land to the north of Walbottle House. The excavation across a partly Scheduled area of the Roman Vallum, a component of the second century AD Hadrianic frontier works, was carried out prior to the installation of services to a residential development. Trenches A and B revealed that the area was heavily impacted by relatively modern quarrying and no features relating to the frontier works were exposed. [Au(adp)] |
