Abstract: |
The work revealed a medieval sequence of land division, pitting and brickearth quarrying. Artefacts recovered link closely with evidence seen locally for medieval pottery industries. A structural sequence was excavated, starting in the 17th or 18th centuries, representing the post-medieval development of London Road (now Old London Road). [Au(abr)] |
