Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that the site was situated in an area close to the Strand where Roman burials and Middle Saxon material had been recovered. Once part of the New Temple it was annexed to form part of the garden of Exeter Inn in the 14th century. The degree of survival and nature of the archaeological deposits was uncertain.[Au(adp)] |
