Abstract: |
Nine buildings at the Thomas Lawrence Bracknell brickworks were drawn and photographed prior to some of them being demolished on the grounds of safety. The buildings included the machine buildings, the brick making building, and five hack sheds used for drying. The remains of a Northumberland down draught kiln, the only one of the brickwork's five kilns surviving, was also recorded, as were some elements of the clay extraction, processing and transporting equipment surviving outside the buildings.
