Abstract: |
A salvage recording exercise was carried out on timbers exposed on land adjacent to the River Trent. The felling dates for the logs that formed the weir were dated by dendrochronology to 1730-1780. It was tentatively concluded that the construction was part of a scheme to maintain or control the water supply to the former Barton Mill.[AIP] |
