Abstract: |
A watching brief, which also involved a detailed gradiometer survey, was carried out at land adjacent to Fenwick Hall, a medieval moated site (Scheduled Ancient Monument 13229). Three locations were assessed in advance of a proposed construction of a new barn. No archaeologically significant anomalies were identified in all three study areas. Based on the results, an area was selected and a watching brief was carried out during groundworks to construct the barn. No archaeological features were indentified. [Au(adp)] |
