Abstract: |
The assessment found that No.12 comprises a former malter's house of early 18th century date, with a number of important archaeological features. An attached range to the rear appeared to be broadly contemporary. The development area along Star Street was an area of malting in the 18th and 19th centuries. Some truncation of deposits and possible cellaring may have been associated with these buildings but deposits may have survived under the shop area. [Au(adp)] |
