Abstract: |
No apparent natural deposits were exposed in any of the trenches dug through the churchyard. Relatively small amounts of disarticulated bone was recovered. In addition, no grave cuts were observed for any of the three undisturbed burials and only one had any associated coffin fragments, which probably dated to the 18th or 19th century. As might be expected, stepped footings were revealed beneath some of the 15th century remains, west of two buttresses, whilst the material noted during the small-scale works inside the church related to the 19th century restoration of the building.
