Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the improvements to the access track to the Anglian water pumping station on the edge of the airbase. No archaeological levels were disturbed during the works except for trenching carried out to expose pipes at the access to the plant. The section showed preserved archaeological levels which have been excavated to the north of the works continuing onto the airfield where the ground had been made up. No features were identified.
