Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during operations for the construction of a new garden conservatory within the constraints of a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Northamptonshire 200), which comprised the remains of a Saxon settlement enclosure. A former garden wall, and a ditch were identified. The ditch contained two fills which yielded late Saxon pottery, together with animal bone and slag. [AIP] |
