Abstract: |
Despite its location in the centre of Wallingford, little of archaeological significance was revealed by an evaluation prior to redevelopment of an abattoir. Later development had seriously truncated deposits, and only modern feaures and an undatable pit were found, although Anglo-Saxon pottery suggested early settlement of the town.[AIP] |
