Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a shaft for sewer repairs. The site lay near the centre of the early medieval settlement of Lundenwic; it was later part of the garden of a convent. During the watching brief, a possible brickearth floor and a pit with waste from antler working were recorded. These were of early medieval date. [AIP] |
