Abstract: |
The known cartographic, historic and archaeological evidence suggested that the probability of pre-18th century remains on the site was very remote, though by the middle of the 18th century there were buildings present. These were followed by at least three phases of development and even the 18th century buildings were unlikely to have survived sufficiently intact to warrant investigation. [Au] |
