Documents four sub-circular features near Rockfield, Co Kerry one of which revealed itself to be a small pit containing a cremation burial, radiocarbon dated to between 1440--1140 BC. A larger pit six metres to the south had been extensively burned. Charcoal at the base of this feature was radiocarbon dated to 780--380 BC. The site is interpreted as having been used as crematoria.

Discusses the 1996 Treasure Trove Act and suggests a loophole in the legislation. Argues that the definition of what constitutes a `coin' as explained by the Code of Practice is too broad. Urges that terms such as `ring-money' and `tress-ring' should be avoided when describing penannular rings, so as to reduce potential profiteering.
