SU 734173. Earthworks occupying an area 150m x 300 were sampled to reveal occupation from early 1st through to 4th centuries. Changes of plan in that time included the laying out of ?garden plots in ?2nd century; at this time the settlement could have been of village size. A rectangular posthole building and part of a stone-founded structure were examined. Apart from some Atrebatic wares of AD 1-40, most of the pottery was from the local Rowlands Castle kilns, and only a few relatively exotic objects were found.
