Abstract
The Anglo-Saxon loom from Pakenham, Suffolk
Steven J Plunkett
277 - 298
The sixth-century AS site at Grimstone End was excavated in 1953 revealing, amongst other things, two separate locales containing long double-rows of clay loomweights of AS type. The arguments as to why they could not represent a collapsed loom are since thought to have been disproved and therefore the Series B row represents one of the largest known looms from western Europe and is of international significance. In 1996 the author set up a large warp-weighted loom conformable with the evidences of the Pakenham loomweights and the reconstruction is reported here.
The Wenhaston Doon: a biography of a sixteenth-century panel painting
Kathleen Whale
299 - 316
Rediscovered in 1892, conserved in 1970, and here interpreted as the work of two painters -- one possibly Flemish.

Jenny James

Printed list begun in 1794 and probably representing a classified catalogue of plants grown in Coyte's Garden, Ipswich.
