Work at Shelton Farm produced evidence of a pottery manufacture site active throughout the eighteenth-century. A sequence of five potters' ovens was uncovered and documentary evidence may indicate a link with the potter John Astbury.

There are extracts from the Report on the audit of archaeology in Droitwich (Droitwich Spa Civic Society & Droitwich History & Archaeology Society, 1992), with ten recommendations for future work including the re-opening of the Archaeological Officer post for the area, creation of an Archaeological Preservation area in Droitwich, improved training in archaeological matters within the Planning Department and increased direct transfer of information between Planning and the County Archaeology Section.
